At Charleston Defenders, our youth baseball teams develop competitors, teammates, and future leaders. Ranging from 9U to 13U, they are built on a foundation of hard work, quality practice, and game-time execution to prepare young athletes for the next level.

Our 9U team focuses on building strong fundamentals and developing a love for the game. Players work on hitting mechanics, defensive positioning, baserunning, and game awareness, gaining confidence and learning to compete at a higher level in a supportive, fun environment.
At 10U, players refine their fundamentals and begin incorporating more advanced techniques into their game. With increased pitching speeds and defensive plays, this team hones situational awareness, disciplined at-bats, and defensive execution to prepare for the next level.
Our 11U squad steps up the competition and intensity, focusing on refining swing mechanics, fielding efficiency, and base-running IQ. Players develop a stronger mental approach to the game, learning to think ahead and play confidently as they prepare for more challenging opponents.
At 12U, the game speeds up, and our focus shifts toward higher-level competition and skill refinement. With an emphasis on pitching mechanics, defensive range, and in-game decision-making, players develop the tools needed to transition into the larger field dimensions of 13U baseball.
